Performs direct patient care tasks on admission and as needed. Provides care to patients of all ages, pediatric, adult and geriatrics. Specifically, the CNA I must perform competently as a caregiver; understand and implement policies and procedures; know and subscribe to the mission, organization and structure of the hospital; and be involved in Risk Management, Performance Improvement, and unit activities. REQUIRED: Must have completed a certified Nurse Aide course. Must be currently listed with the N.C. Department of Human Resources, Division of Facility Services as a CNA I. Must be CPR certified. This employee will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to the age groups of the patients with whom he or she will come in contact. PREFERRED: Specialty course work or experience in assigned area. |
