Performs assessment of patients upon admission and as needed. Provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages, teen, adult and geriatrics and supervises other members of the nursing team in the delivery of patient care. Specifically, the RN must perform competently as a care-giver, utilizing the nursing process; maintain accurate and complete documentation; understand and implement policies and procedures; know and subscribe to the mission, organization and structure of the hospital; and be involved in risk management, Performance Improvement, and unit activities. REQUIRED: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Must have a current North Carolina Registered Nurse license. CPR certified. This employee will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to the age groups of the patients with whom he or she will come in contact. PREFERRED: Specialty course work or experience in assigned area. ACLS certification; Med-Surg certification; PALS; NRP. |
